Photoshoot #1 – Saddelry & Gunroom (S&G)

Photoshoot #1 – Saddelry & Gunroom (S&G)

Ideas –
My ideas for the first shoot down at the Saddelry & Gunroom are to show the other side of shooting, less of the technical and mathmatical side and more of the actual shooting and prestige of the sport. The day I have chosen to photograph is the biggest shooting competition of the year, so there will be quite a selection of people and weaponry.

Though I will not just be photographing the members I will also photograph the Gamekeeper, the Boss, Howard as well as the secretary Pam.

Equipment –
Canon 550D DSLR
Canon 100mm Macro Lens
Canon 17mm – 85mm Lens
Canon 430 EXii Speedlite
External 64 LED Modelling Light
External Speedlite Softbox
Selection of coloured lens filters
Elincrom Ranger Flash Kit

Outcome & Photographs -

The outcome of this photoshoot was good although difficult. Since I have been photographing in a Gun Shop I was very restricted on where I could and could not photograph. Especially when in doors, as I could not capture any of the secuirty systems. However I managed to do so with the permission and censorship of the boss.

I managed to shoot my double page spread inside the shop with the Manager, John though I am generally happy with the photograph the composition is a little off for my liking. John had to stand more centered in the photograph to cover up a peice of the security.
